Farm News 2016

  • F. W. Rowe and Sons have started work to increase their grain store capacity at the new farm to 10,000 tonne.

 

Farm News 2015

  • F. W. Rowe and Sons started the construction of the new grain stores up at the new farm site in Harlaston. Currently the sheds that are up can hold up to 5,000 tonnes of grain. 
  • F. W. Rowe and Sons decided to purchase two New Holland CR10.90 combines with 41ft headers replacing the two New Holland CR9090 & CR980.
  • F. W. Rowe and Sons were privileged to be given the chance to demo the one and only John Deere 4-Track 9RX in Europe.
  • At the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Farms Competition, F. W. Rowe and Sons were awarded 2nd place in the Winter Oilseed Rape, Potatoes and Peas classes and were also awarded 1st place in the Winter Barley class.

 

Farm News 2014

  • F. W. Rowe and Sons were awarded 2nd place in the Potato class at the Staffordshire & Birmingham Agricultural Society awards.
  • F. W. Rowe and Sons took delivery on their second Agrifac 40m crop sprayer to help with the application of Fertiliser and sprays.

 

Farm News 2013

  • F. W. Rowe and Sons took delivery on a 40m Agrifac crop sprayer for applying Liquid Fertiliser and spraying. 

 

Farm News 2012

  • F. W. Rowe and Sons were awarded 4th place in the Previous Prizewinners class and 1st place in the Potatoes class at the Staffordshire & Birmingham Agricultural Society awards.
  • At the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Farms Competition, F. W. Rowe and Sons were awarded 1st place in the Potatoes and Milling Wheat classes.

 

Farm News 2011

  • F. W. Rowe and Sons was awarded 1st prize in Class 8 - Larger farms in the Staffordshire & Birmingham Agricultural Society and also, came 1st in the Best Crop of Potatoes and 2nd in the Milling Wheat Class and 3rd in the Feed Wheat Class.
  • B. J. Dale and Co Limited was awarded 1st prize in the Class 9 - Previous Prize Winners and also, was awarded the overall champion in the Farms Competition for the Staffordshire & Birmingham Agricultural Society. They also came 4th in the Milling Wheat Class.
  • F. W. Rowe and Sons was also awarded four 1st prizes for Potatoes, Winter Barley, Winter Milling Wheat and Feed Wheat and was also joint 1st for the most points overall for the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Farms Competition.

 

Farm News 2010

  • F. W. Rowe and Sons were awarded 1st prize for 'The Best Crop of Oil Seed Rape' and for 'The Best Crop of Potatoes grown in Staffordshire and Birmingham Agricultural Area 2010'.
  • Bagots Park Estate were awarded 1st prize for 'The Best Managed Farm in Large Arable Class' also in the Staffordshire and Birmingham Agricultural Area 2010.
  • F. W. Rowe and Sons were awarded 1st prize for 'The Best Crop of Potatoes grown in the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Farm Competition 2010'.
  • GPS soil sampling has been carried out for the second time on a large portion of the land we farm. The results have confirmed that our variable applications of Potash and Phosphate have been very successful.
